When you’ve grown tired of taking your OOTDs standing up, then you better start mastering how to take them while sitting down. Celebrities and bloggers around the world are getting hooked on the latest trending Insta-sit poses. And who can blame them? These poses are so effortless and will even highlight your best assets, plus show off your clothes in the coolest way. Below, we round up the different sitting poses that are already taking over Instagram. Time to level up your Insta-game, ladies!

1. Rap Squat

Rap squats are not new. In fact, the pose has been around since the ’90s and early 2000s and have been used by rappers like Jay-Z and 50 Cent to look tough on their album covers. The pose is also believed to stem from the prison pose, a known crouching position prison gangs used to do to intimidate others. Now, people are reviving the fad as a popular IG pose to assume a tough and cool persona.

2. Womanspreading

While it started as clamor for gender equality, womanspreading had later on become a widely known IG sitting pose. This simply involves women emulating how men naturally sit — legs spread wide, occupying so. much. space.

3. Bambi pose

This pose is especially popular on the beach to produce a seductive Instagram post. It pulls inspiration from the cartoon character, Bambi. To do this, all you have to do is sit on your calves and legs. You can opt to spread your legs a bit or keep your knees together. Arch your back to elongate the torso and accentuate your behind.

4. Over the Shoulder

Here’s a plandid (planned candid) you can totally pull off. You just have to act as if someone called your name and you turned around, as if to say, “Oh, there you are!”

5. Insta-Sit

This pose is beloved by many girls as it gives the illusion of having legs for days without the need for heels. The trick here is to maintain a half crossed leg position. Have one leg stretched out (point your toes, if you like) while the other is tucked under the other. Easy-peasy!
